Oral speech - Food Centre

Introduction

This picture shows a Food Centre. There are people eating and buying food. There is a chicken rice stall and a prawn noodles stall.

Scenario 1 - Normal
At the chicken rice stall, there is a woman buying chicken rice. The stall looks very clean.

Scenario 2 - Normal

Beside that woman, there is a family of three eating. The look happy, maybe it is because the chicken rice taste good. They are chatting as they are eating.

Scenario 3 - Cause and Effect

A man holding drinks has slipped over a banana peel and spilt the drinks on a lady sitting at a table. I think the lady ordered the drinks.

Personal Response

I think the person who threw the banana peel on the ground is very inconsiderate. He or she should have threw it into a rubbish bin. I feel that the man who spilt the drinks should apologise to the lady even though it is not his fault that he slipped.

Scenario 4 - Wrong and Consequence

There is a prawn noodle stall but no one is buying prawn noodles. There are many flies flying around that stall. The stall owner looks very untidy and dirty.

Personal Response

I think the reason why people are not going to this stall is because there are many flies and the stall owner looks very unhygienic. People would have the impression that the stall is dirty so they would not want to buy it in case of food poisoning, whereas the chicken rice stall looks neat and tidy.

Conclusion

The Food Centre is a nice place to have our food but we should always watch our hygiene. For example, we should wash our hands before we eat. We should not throw food on the floor as they may attract cockroaches and flies which will affect the hygiene of the Food Centre.
